280 glass wind chimes were all hung from the ceiling at various heights (to represent the undulation of a wave). When people walk underneath the chimes, not only does the chime make a noise but the LED inside the chime lights up, like a firefly. In relation to the audio aspect of it, the wind chimes nearer to the ceiling ring in higher tones, whereas those at a lower level rung at lower tones, offering 10 degrees of tonal expression.

The experience has been likened to walking inside walking inside a large interactive instrument.

It must also be noted that the wind chimes are networked together, and the lights spread to adjacent wind chimes, like the ripples of water. The system was based on the idea of “behavoir” we observe among certain animals in nature that form groups.
